Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan (required)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (required)
  • Experience working with students in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and measurable outcomes
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs of students
  • Develop tailored intervention plans that address each students unique strengths and challenges
  • Provide direct therapy services individually and in small group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports to support IEP goals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
