Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and active Louisiana SLP licensure (required)
  • Prior experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred
  • Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment for diverse speech and language disorders
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including educators, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work with students at varying grade levels (elementary through high school)
  • Knowledge of IEPs, progress monitoring, and related documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
  • Maintain accurate case records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team evaluations
  • Stay current with best practices and state regulations regarding school-based SLP services
