As an SLP in this contract position, you will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to help learners overcome communication challenges, making a meaningful difference in their academic journey.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability when working across different grade levels
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to meet student goals
- Collaborate with educators and participate in intervention teams to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and records in compliance with regulations
- Offer training and resources for teachers and families to reinforce strategies in the classroom and at home
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
