Empower middle and high school students to reach their communication goals while making a meaningful impact in an educational setting. A part-time contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support to a manageable, primarily indirect caseload of approximately 30 students. Utilizing your clinical expertise and passion for school-based speech services, youll offer assessments, interventions, and collaborate with dedicated educators to foster student progress in an environment near Basehor.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible Kansas SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; SLP-CFYs considered
- Experience serving middle or high school-aged students
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and digital documentation
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, focusing heavily on indirect support, consultation, and monitoring
- Conduct individual or group therapy sessions as appropriate, including teletherapy as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff for integrated service delivery
- Track progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and outcomes
