Job Description

Empower students to find their voices and achieve their communication goals as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment working with elementary, middle, and high school populations. This opportunity offers a dynamic caseload supporting a variety of ages and needs, making every day meaningful and rewarding.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active New Mexico SLP license is required
  • School-based experience is highly preferred
  • Competency in assessment, therapy planning, and progress documentation for students ranging from elementary through high school
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in tailoring interventions to diverse developmental stages and student backgrounds
  • Flexible, positive attitude with a passion for supporting student growth

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students referred for services
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
  • Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to address articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and district guidelines
  • Consult with teachers and staff to integrate supportive strategies and promote a communication-friendly classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student support teams as needed
  • Adapt interventions as needed to ensure progress and support each student's success
