Job Description

Make a difference supporting students communication development as a contract speech-language pathologist in a school-based setting near Aurora, Illinois. In this dynamic role, youll work with students across a range of ages and backgrounds, providing vital expertise to foster language, articulation, fluency, and social communication skills.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows considered
  • Experience or clinical practicum in school settings is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other service providers

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students educational goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services per IEP requirements
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and complete all required reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and updates on student progress
  • Collaborate with the educational team to foster a supportive, inclusive environment
  • Offer resources and education to school staff and families to promote generalization of skills
