Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students with speech-language needs in the greater Aurora area. Work closely with a dedicated education team and provide meaningful services that help students thrive academically and socially.

This position offers as many as 37.5 hours weekly, but the district can accommodate part-time schedules if that better fits your needs. Daily staff hours are 7:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The caseload is determined by your schedule commitment; full-time roles may reach up to 60 students but start with approximately 30 for a manageable transition.

Candidates should have strong clinical and communication skills, a passion for working with adolescents, and the flexibility to meet each learner where they are. Bring your experience, empathy, and active Illinois licensure to a warm, collaborative school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL; screenshot required for application)
• SLP-CCC certification and school-based SLP experience
• Familiarity with high school populations and diverse student backgrounds
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Previous IEP development and implementation experience preferred
• Must not require supervision as an SLPA or clinical fellow
• Commitment to in-person service delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in high school students
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans within an educational framework
• Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other service providers
• Maintain detailed case notes, progress reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Support overall student success and advocate for effective communication skills
