Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, serving pediatric populations within school-based and teletherapy environments. This role draws on your advanced expertisewhether youre an SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or experienced in healthcare and school settingsto make a real impact for students.
Working with elementary to high school-aged children, youll collaborate closely with a supportive special education team, delivering services across multiple sites. This role offers a mix of traditional and remote therapy while gaining exposure to both caseload and workload models. Expect thorough onboarding, as the district provides IEP system training and guidance from an experienced department lead. Clinical Fellows can count on structured supervision, helping you excel in your CFY year.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license or eligibility in Illinois
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in process of CFY
- Experience in pediatric, healthcare, teletherapy, or school-based settings
- Familiarity with digital documentation (IEP platforms), or a willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between assigned schools as needed
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations, creating, and implementing treatment plans for a varied caseload
- Delivering therapy sessions onsite and via teletherapy platforms
- Collaborating with educators, caregivers, and IEP teams
- Documenting progress and attending team meetingsboth virtually and in person
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
