This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive support within a diverse school district near Chicago, Illinois. The role is full-time, contract-based, and located onsite, serving multiple early childhood and elementary school settings with some itinerant responsibilities.
Key Details:
- Position Type: Full-Time Contract (Jan 5, 2026 May 20, 2026)
- Location: Multiple sites near Aurora and Elgin, IL
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day)
- Assignment: Early childhood and elementary school students; caseload varies by location and may include itinerant evaluation services between up to two schools
- Language Requirement: Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are preferred
- Licensure: Must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement and an Illinois SLP license
- Candidate Eligibility: Consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF) with provided supervision
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to early childhood and elementary-aged students
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and progress monitoring, including itinerant evaluation between schools as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district standards
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement and Illinois SLP license
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) required
- Experience with pediatric caseloads preferred; Clinical Fellows with supervision considered
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
