A therapeutic day school in Aurora, IL, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position serving K-12 students. This opportunity is open to both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows, providing a supportive environment for professional growth. The position involves working 30 hours per week with a caseload of approximately 20 students, primarily in autism and life skills classrooms. The role includes commitments for the current school year, extended school year (ESY), and the following school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized speech and language therapy for students within a therapeutic day school setting.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to students with autism and life skills needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to IL state regulations and school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois SLP license.
- Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools, issued by ISBE.
- Open to Clinical Fellows with appropriate credentials.
- Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, and working with students on the autism spectrum.
