A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Aurora, CO, offering a rewarding contract position within an educational setting. This role is ideal for an experienced SLP seeking to provide targeted speech and language services to students in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and reports
- Stay current with best practices and state educational requirements for speech therapy
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Colorado
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant educational guidelines
