Job Description

Preferred candidates hold both their Texas Speech Language Pathologist License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), and have demonstrated success in a school-based setting. Your expertise will actively enhance students educational experiences through key interventions and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings, preferably with both elementary and middle school students
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and individualized interventions

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students from elementary through middle school
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students specific needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students academic and social development
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students and staff as needed
  • Participate actively in eligibility, annual, and re-evaluation IEP meetings
