Job Description

This contract role, based onsite near Aurora, CO, focuses on serving an intensive pre-school classroom at a single elementary school, providing Speech-Language services and support.

Ideal candidates will have experience in schools and demonstrate a passion for helping students develop communication skills that unlock their potential. Youll work within an experienced team, supporting students, collaborating with educators, and may help supervise SLPAs as part of your responsibilities. Those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) are preferred; however, strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) will also be considered.

What were looking for:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
  • Current Colorado Department of Education certification
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IEPs, including assessments and providing services
  • Ability to monitor and document student progress toward measurable objectives
  • Flexibility and collaborative spirit for working within an interdisciplinary team
  • Preferred: Training in English Language Learner (ELL) strategies or an ESL/LDE Endorsement
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to preschool-aged students in an intensive setting
  • Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and implement effective therapy plans
  • Assist with oversight and mentoring of assigned SLPAs if appropriate
  • Participate in ongoing team meetings and communicate progress with families and staff
  • Adapt strategies to meet diverse linguistic and cultural needs
