Job Description

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services in an elementary school setting. This role supports students from kindergarten through 5th grade, focusing on diverse speech and language needs within a school environment located in Augusta, ME.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students with various communication disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and therapeutic guidelines.
  • Provide on-site support and interventions, particularly for SLPA candidates assisting under supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP credentials (CCC preferred) or certification as an SLPA with relevant school experience.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K5).
  • Ability to work effectively three to four days per week during the school year.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills within an educational setting.

Location and Work Schedule:

  • Position based in Augusta, ME.
  • Commitment of three days per week, with potential for a fourth day.
  • School year (CSY) contract starting January 5th, 2025.
  • Work with students in a supportive elementary school environment.
