This contract position is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about fostering communication skills and helping young learners thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) required for school-based practice
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and maintain detailed records
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Provide support and resources to teachers and caregivers to facilitate student success in the classroom
