Step into a dynamic contract opportunity for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to fostering communication and learning for K-12 students. As a key support in educational settings, you'll engage with students across a range of ages, collaborating with school staff and families to create supportive, individualized learning environments. This position is conveniently accessible from Arroyo Grande and nearby communities such as Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna, offering a welcoming region to call your temporary professional home.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current California SLP license or California CTC credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and seasoned SLPs
- Experience working with pediatric and school-based populations
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to K-12 students, diagnosing and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Conduct assessments, write comprehensive reports, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Partner closely with educators, counselors, and families to ensure success and carryover of skills into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations
- Participate actively in professional development and school or district meetings
This contract, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) spans the 2025-2026 school year and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference while experiencing the beautiful Central Coast.
