Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-12 educational setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to students across multiple school locations in California, including Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational and licensing standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential.
  • Credentials suitable for SLP roles across healthcare, pediatrics, school settings, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in K-12 school environments.
  • Strong understanding of speech-language pathology practices within educational settings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Details:

  • Location: Primarily based in Arroyo Grande, CA, with potential assignments in Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna.
  • Contract Duration: 2025-2026 school year.
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Age Group: Students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
