A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support within a school setting in Asheville, NC. This position involves working directly with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, helping children overcome challenges to achieve their academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify student needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals.
- Deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student development.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Travel between school locations as required to provide services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification or licensure to practice as an SLP in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience working within a school environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt to various student needs.
- Willingness to travel to multiple school sites as job duties require.
