Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist License
- SLP-CCC certification
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Expertise working with elementary and middle school students
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents, ensuring continuity of care and progress monitoring
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students requiring speech-language services
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide support and guidance during IEP meetings and parent conferences
