This full-time contract opportunity provides an exciting chance for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a K-12 school setting. Serving multiple school locations including Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna, CA, this role offers a dynamic work environment across diverse communities during the 2025-2026 school year.
The ideal candidate will hold a California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification and have experience in pediatric healthcare, school-based therapy, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) requirements. This position demands strong expertise in speech-language pathology services tailored to school-age children, ensuring communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations and services to students across K-12 grades.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide intervention for various speech and language disorders in a school setting.
- Participate actively in professional development and team meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California SLP license or California CTC credential.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare or school environments.
- Completion or current progression through the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and educational standards.
Location: This role is based primarily in Arroyo Grande, CA, with service across nearby locations including Pismo Beach (93448), Santa Maria (93454), and Edna (93401).
