Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with diverse communication needs, working part-time in a vibrant educational setting near San Luis Obispo, CA. This role is tailor-made for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to make a difference during a maternity leave, from October to mid-December 2025 (through winter break). You'll work onsite, engaging with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, providing essential services that foster growth and academic success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California SLP license or CA CTC credential required
• SLP-CCC certification
• Experience in school-based settings with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Skilled in IEP development, conducting evaluations, and delivering both direct and indirect speech/language services
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
• Versatility in addressing varied types of disabilities across a broad age range

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings to develop individualized plans
• Deliver direct therapy services suited to students unique goals and needs
• Provide consultative and indirect support tailored to student and teacher requirements
• Monitor progress, maintain thorough records, and communicate effectively with parents and staff
• Manage a balanced caseload, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
