Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current license to practice as an SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship year
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting highly valued
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in dynamic school environments
- Commitment to culturally responsive, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as needed within the school
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with diverse speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Maintain clear records, progress notes, and ongoing communication with families and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and recommend appropriate classroom modifications
- Offer consultative support to teachers and staff, equipping them to facilitate student progress
- Stay current with best practices and fulfill continuing education requirements
