Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant setting near Arlington Heights, IL for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. In this role, youll work onsite during school hours, supporting a diverse community of students within a collaborative environment dedicated to helping children reach their communication goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong skills in supporting students with expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language needs, as well as articulation, phonology, and fluency challenges
  • Familiarity with MTSS and RTI processes is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills

What Youll Do:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services for approximately 35 students across grade levels
  • Deliver targeted interventions for expressive/receptive/pragmatic language, articulation/phonology, and fluency needs
  • Support a specialized instructional class for 3rd graders with cross-categorical needs
  • Offer MTSS/RTI support to a small subset of students
  • Perform case management for 5-10 students who receive only speech/language services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage with parents and staff to facilitate student progress
