Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students communication growth for the upcoming school year in an educational setting near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time contract position provides a chance to collaborate with a dedicated team serving K-12 learners in a vibrant and supportive community. Multiple positions are available to begin with orientation, tentatively scheduled August 12th to 14th, and assignments for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (IL license); screenshot required at submission
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required; screenshot required at submission
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered
- School-based SLP experience is a plus
- Committed to providing onsite therapy and support
- Experience or interest in working with K-12 students with diverse needs
- Understanding of IEP process and interdisciplinary collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for K-12 caseload (to be determined)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with educational guidelines
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development
