An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a summer role supporting students from PreK through 8th grade. Provide essential Extended School Year (ESY) services in a vibrant educational community located near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position runs from June 10th to June 2nd, 2026, offering 12 hours per weekideal for professionals desiring a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably supporting PreK8 students
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and school teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students enrolled in ESY programs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to address students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure progress toward IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to students ages and developmental levels
- Participate in meetings and communicate student progress effectively to stakeholders
