Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist serving K-5th grade students in an onsite school environment. This opportunity is ideal for those dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other learning disabilities. You'll provide therapy using a push-in model, engaging directly within classroom settings, and manage a caseload of 20-40 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
  • Experience with elementary-aged students (K-5th)
  • Comfort working within a push-in therapy model
  • Ability to tailor interventions for students with a range of diagnoses, such as ASD, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services directly in the classroom
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize each student's learning experience
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
