Job Description

This Speech Language Pathologist position offers an engaging opportunity to work onsite within a school setting in Arlington Heights, IL. With a contract schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you will provide essential speech therapy services to a diverse caseload of 20 to 40 students spanning kindergarten through 5th grade. Students served may include those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and other communication challenges. The role incorporates a push-in model, allowing for collaborative and inclusive therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to K-5 students with varied needs
  • Implement intervention plans targeting communication disorders such as ASD, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support students within the classroom environment using a push-in approach
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and professional standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
  • Experience working with pediatric school-aged populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech therapy practices in educational settings
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
