Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a role supporting K-12 students through maternity leave coverage and itinerant services in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This position offers a contract basis, beginning mid-October and concluding August 7, 2026, with a flexible option for part-time candidates as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in school settings.
  • Work initially in Lackawanna County to cover maternity leave and transition in the spring to support itinerant students in the Dunmore area.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings, facilitating communication with families and school personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Pennsylvania SLP licensure.
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology settings.
  • Ability to obtain and complete all necessary Pennsylvania clearances.
  • Reliable transportation to accommodate travel between assigned locations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability to work onsite for the duration of the contract.

Additional Details:

  • Work schedule is 35 hours per week, full-time preferred but part-time candidates will be considered.
  • Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
  • This role does not support teletherapy (no VOCO).
  • One opening available.
