Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing vital support for students during the 2026/2027 school year. This onsite position focuses on serving preschoolers (location TBD) and high school students. Youll enjoy meaningful work in a collaborative environment while traveling between sites to ensure every student receives individualized care.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Louisiana SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Ability to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of communication disorders in children and adolescents
- Comfortable working with both preschool and high school populations
- Willingness and reliability to travel between multiple educational sites
- Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy and intervention for students at assigned locations
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and student records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Offer guidance and strategies to teachers and families for classroom and home reinforcement
- Monitor and report student progress; adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
