This rewarding contract opportunity is available for the current school year, with the possibility of continuing into the next school year based on performance.
This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist ready to serve a diverse student population and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Youll have the opportunity to support students communication skills, social development, and academic achievement in a vibrant, educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license is required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is mandatory
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable providing therapy across all grade levels (early childhood through high school)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team of educators and specialists
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy in accordance with each students IEP
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and parent conferences as needed
- Offer support and guidance to educational staff regarding speech, language, and communication strategies
