Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in the Ypsilanti area as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)! This contract role is perfect for those passionate about fostering communication skills in K-12 students. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Enjoy a full-time schedule at 37.5 hours per week, with part-time schedules considered for qualified professionals. Youll work onsite, collaborating with education teams to deliver crucial speech and language interventions.
Ideal candidates will hold an active Michigan SLP license and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). This onsite role is dedicated to professionals who thrive in face-to-face settingsvirtual services or Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs) are not accepted for this position.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must possess current Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience delivering speech therapy within K-12 school settings preferred
- Comfortable developing IEPs, tracking progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work onsite throughout the duration of the academic year
- Candidates must be able to start August 31, 2026, and commit through June 4, 2027
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload ranging from kindergarten through high school
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Document progress, attend IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in ongoing professional development as part of the school community
