A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Ann Arbor, MI, serving a local K-12 district on a contract basis for the remainder of the school year. This position focuses on supporting students ages 18-25 within an adult transition program aimed at gaining independence through community and work-based learning activities.
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Position Type: Contract (ASAP through end of school year)
Schedule: 2 days per week, approximately 14 hours total
Assignment: Itinerant to one school, working primarily with 10-12 students who receive direct speech therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored to adults in transition programs
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress data
- Participate in team meetings as required
- Utilize districts IEP system (training provided as necessary)
- Provide therapy in a designated space within the school environment
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC preferred) with school-based experience
- Familiarity with adult transition services and community-based learning programs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with caseload or workload models is a plus
Additional Information:
- No supervision responsibility for other clinicians in this assignment
- Support provided by district contacts and department leads
