Make a difference each day as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity brings your expertise in communication disorders directly to students, supporting their growth in an educational setting. Youll work onsite with a dedicated caseload and partner closely with educators and families.
Your role involves providing specialized speech and language services to middle school students, evaluating needs, developing targeted therapy plans, and tracking student progress toward IEP goals. Collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to student success are at the heart of everything you do.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Passion for working with children and adolescents
- Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and individualized therapy planning
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced academic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred for speech and language interventions
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEPs
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students, both individually and in small groups
- Document and monitor student progress regularly
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to align on student needs and strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
This contract offers a weekly schedule of approximately 18 hours (0.5 FTE), Monday through Friday at a local middle school, ensuring a balanced workweek with a midday break. Youll gain invaluable school-based experience and make a substantial impact during the academic year.
