This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage within a K-12 school district in the Andover, MN area. This contract position offers the chance to support elementary and middle school students across multiple locations, delivering direct speech therapy services in an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services following a 3:1 service model: three weeks of direct service followed by one week of indirect support.
- Manage a caseload consisting mostly of therapy (no evaluations), including students in typical elementary settings and those in specialized Setting III CDC classrooms.
- Provide in-person services across multiple schools, with flexible start and end dates depending on maternity leave timelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to support students speech and communication development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC preferred).
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in speech-language pathology.
- Comfort serving students with a range of needs, including those requiring specialized settings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage varied caseloads and locations.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
