Job Description

An onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Andover, MN, providing essential support across multiple elementary and middle school locations. This role offers a unique opportunity to cover maternity leave absences within a collaborative school district, engaging with diverse student populations including those in Setting III CDC and traditional elementary settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services following a 3:1 service delivery model (three weeks of direct service, one week indirect tasks).
  • Manage a therapy-only caseload with no evaluation responsibilities as a separate evaluation team is in place.
  • Support students with a variety of speech and language needs in elementary and middle school environments.
  • Maintain clear communication with educational staff and families to support student progress.
  • Adapt therapy delivery based on scheduled maternity leave coverage across multiple buildings, including Brooklyn Center, Blaine, and Roosevelt Middle School.

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Previous experience in school-based speech-language pathology.
  • Ability to manage typical elementary school caseloads and work with Setting III CDC students.
  • Flexibility to work onsite and provide consistent services across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Position Details:

  • Contract position to cover varying maternity leave periods with specific start and end dates.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Caseload includes coverage in Brooklyn Center, Blaine, and Roosevelt Middle School.
  • Therapy-focused role with separate evaluation team support.
