Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Anchorage, AK. This opportunity involves working onsite within local schools, providing essential speech and language services to students. The assignment runs from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a standard 40-hour workweek, typically scheduled as 8.5 hours per day including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska certification and licensure as an SLP or SLPA
  • Experience working within school-based settings preferred
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently, typically across approximately two elementary schools
  • Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders in children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with educators and families

Location:

  • Anchorage, Alaska; onsite work only (no virtual care options)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to an average caseload of 47 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with school district protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and meetings as required
