Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship status
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Alaska
  • Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders affecting school-aged children
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in IEP meetings
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support each students educational journey
  • Offer consultation and resources to educators and families as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
