Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Alaska
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively partner with families, teachers, and staff
  • Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific goals and abilities
  • Deliver direct therapy services across a range of needs, such as articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
  • Contribute to IEP meetings, provide progress reports, and maintain detailed and timely documentation
  • Provide support and coaching for teachers and families to reinforce communication strategies in the classroom and at home
