Based near Anaheim, this contract opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time commitment. You'll play a vital role by assessing and providing ongoing Auditory-Verbal Therapy services to support student language development within a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds a current LSLS Cert. AVT (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist)
- Licensed in your discipline (Speech-Language Pathologist, Audiologist, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) as required by the state
- Experience conducting student assessments in school or educational settings
- Ability to deliver effective Auditory Verbal Therapy and document progress
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide an assessment for Auditory Verbal Therapy services to determine ongoing eligibility for support
- If the student requires continued services, deliver monthly, onsite therapy sessions (60 minutes each)
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with special education requirements and timelines
- Partner with school teams and families to maximize student outcomes and support communication goals
- Adapt therapy techniques to best support individual student needs and progress
