Job Description

Provide therapeutic services as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a specialized high school program serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This summer assignment focuses on delivering augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support within the Compass High Program, a personalized education setting designed to promote independence outside traditional classroom environments.

Location: Ludlow, MA
Contract: Summer Extended School Year (ESY)
Duration: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026, with potential for continuation into the 2026-2027 school year
Hours: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services tailored to high school students with ASD or other learning differences
  • Utilize AAC strategies to support communication goals; AAC evaluation experience is not required
  • Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor and document student progress consistent with state requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure and certifications as required for SLP services in educational settings
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly those with ASD and communication challenges
  • Familiarity with AAC tools and techniques preferred
  • Compliance with all state educational and clinical regulations
