Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CF candidates considered
- Previous experience working with pediatrics, ideally in a school-based setting
- Solid knowledge of therapy techniques for a range of speech and language disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students, addressing a variety of needs
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments and interpret results to inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies tailored to each child
- Complete timely and thorough documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to the team
- Provide support and adjustment of therapy techniques based on every childs progress
- Foster an encouraging, positive environment that helps students thrive
