Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students communication and academic growth in schools across Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge. As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), youll work onsite in a dynamic educational environment, partnering with teachers, families, and other specialists to help learners thrive.

This contract position spans the 20262027 school year, beginning August 17, 2026, and concluding June 12, 2027. The role offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) and provides the opportunity to deliver meaningful speech and language interventions in various school settings.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
  • Skilled in assessments, developing IEP goals, and delivering individualized and group therapy
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable working full-time onsite in the Dale City, Dumfries, or Woodbridge areas

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language evaluation and therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with district and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in meetings, contribute to progress reports, and support multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and communication development
