Job Description

Make a significant impact supporting students communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. This opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year and involves partnering with a dedicated team to deliver critical speech and language services to students in a supportive school environment.

Seeking a dedicated professional holding an NCDPI SLP License with strong skills in providing direct speech therapy, conducting assessments, and collaborating in special education processes. Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active NCDPI SLP License (must be current at time of application)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Proven experience providing speech therapy services in K-12 school settings
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with ECATS
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 50 students (current load: 39)
  • Confidence presenting recommendations in IEP meetings and developing annual goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and screenings
  • Write current performance reports and develop measurable, relevant annual goals
  • Provide input and actively participate in IEP meetings
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Maintain clear, effective communication with staff and families
