Empower students and help foster communication skills in a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity near Albany, OR, focuses on supporting diverse learners in a school setting, providing vital speech and language services that enable students to thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in the state of Oregon (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs considered
- Prior school-based experience or pediatric clinical experience highly desired
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs
- Familiarity with IEP development, meetings, and related paperwork
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address educational impact
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP conferences, and other school-based collaborations
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
