This contract assignment for a Speech-Language Pathologist spans the full academic year from August 2026 through May 2027, working with a diverse caseload of students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Enjoy the chance to focus your expertise on individualized support for approximately 40 students, collaborating with educators and families to deliver meaningful, evidence-based interventions.
Qualifications:
- Valid ALSDE Speech-Language Pathologist certificate required
- Completion of background check through ALSDE
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings, supporting PreK12 populations
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to a diverse student body
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students across all grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Evaluate students needs and document progress toward goals using best practices
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student success
- Participate in team meetings, assessments, and campus-based activities as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state regulations and ethical standards
- Promote a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
