A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Bessemer, AL. This role offers a full-time schedule with 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing a stable and consistent work routine focused on pediatric speech-language services.
Qualified candidates must hold current Speech Language Pathologist licensure in Alabama and possess experience or certification relevant to pediatrics and school-based therapy. A Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are preferred credentials demonstrating professional expertise in school-based pediatric SLP services.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy to K-12 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students communication goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports consistent with school and state regulations
- Participating in meetings and professional development activities as required
