Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and English
• Experience interpreting in educational or school-based settings, ideally with junior high or similar age groups
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and student well-being
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team alongside another ASL interpreter

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities for assigned students
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and school staff
• Adapt interpretation methods to suit different subjects, environments, and student needs
• Work collaboratively with educational staff to ensure the full participation of students in all aspects of school life
• Maintain accurate, timely records as required
