Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding contract opportunity working as a Sign Language Interpreter for an in-person role serving a kindergarten student. With immediate start and a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week through June 2027, youll play an essential role in facilitating clear communication and inclusion in the classroom environment. What We're Looking For:

• Valid Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III certification, OR
• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher with a passing written test, OR
• Recognized national certification, such as the National Interpreter Certification (NIC)
• Experience in providing ASL interpretation, especially within an educational setting
• Comfort working exclusively onsite (remote or hybrid not available)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work sensitively and effectively with young children and diverse teams

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person ASL interpretation for a kindergarten student
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom by accurately and professionally facilitating communication
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to ensure the students needs are met
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all professional and ethical guidelines
• Adapt interpreting style to support both academic and social interactions within the school day
