Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, educators, and staff through American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation
• Translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events
• Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to ensure effective communication accommodations
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Travel to various schools within the designated area as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language, with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settings
• Strong understanding of deaf culture and communication needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
