A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support educational settings. This role involves working in a dynamic school environment in the Westerville, OH area with a travel component, providing critical communication assistance for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and educators, staff, and peers.
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events accurately and impartially.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accommodations meet students' needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for interpreting services.
- Travel to various school locations within the assigned area as needed for interpreting appointments or school events.
