Requirements for this role include:

• Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings
• Current certification and credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Minimum 3.5 score on the EIPA with completed written portion
• Flexibility for onsite work, with potential for virtual assignments as the school year approaches
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Ability to adapt communication styles for students across different grade levels and learning abilities

Key responsibilities for this position:

• Provide interpreting services in classrooms and school activities, ensuring clear, effective communication between students, staff, and peers
• Assist in facilitating understanding of instructional materials, lessons, and extracurricular events
• Work closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student access and achievement
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of the profession
• Adapt interpreting methods to fit various instructional and individual student needs

This full-time role offers a consistent weekday schedule throughout the school year, with 37.5 hours weekly. Thirteen interpreter positions are available, offering you the chance to collaborate with other professionals committed to student success.
